About UR

What is UR?

UR is the financial infrastructure for the open economy: manage and move stablecoins and fiat from a single account. UR serves individuals through the UR app, platforms and developers through UR Platform (the account layer), and companies through UR Corporate.

Learn more about UR

Who is behind UR?

UR is a trademark of SR Saphirstein AG (CHE-256.014.995), headquartered at Bellerivestrasse 245, 8008 Zurich, Switzerland.

About UR

Is UR a bank?

No. UR is not a bank — it is financial infrastructure. Accounts hold and move stablecoins and fiat together, with a personal Swiss IBAN, over SEPA instant, SWIFT, and onchain settlement.

What license does UR operate under?

SR Saphirstein AG (CHE-256.014.995) is licensed as a fintech company under Article 1b of the Swiss Banking Act and supervised by FINMA, the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority.

How many people use UR?

More than 240,000 accounts are live on UR, holding over $1.2B in tokenized deposits. Partners include SafePal, Bitget Wallet, imToken, and TopNod.

Accounts & the app

What currencies does UR support?

UR accounts hold 7 fiat currencies — EUR, USD, CHF, CNH, SGD, JPY, and HKD — alongside 20+ digital assets, including major stablecoins, in a single multicurrency account.

Do I get my own IBAN?

Yes. Every UR account comes with a personal Swiss IBAN in your own name — not a shared or pooled account number. You can receive SEPA instant and SWIFT transfers directly.

Does UR have a card?

Yes. UR accounts include a virtual Mastercard that spends from your account balance anywhere Mastercard is accepted online.

What does UR charge to convert digital assets to fiat?

UR charges 0% off-ramp fees for converting digital assets to fiat in your account. The full fee schedule is available in the app.

How do I open an account?

Download the UR app (iOS or Android) or use the web app, verify your identity, and your account with its Swiss IBAN is ready.

For platforms & developers

How do businesses integrate UR?

UR Platform is one API integration. It gives your users accounts with personal Swiss IBANs, 7 fiat currencies, 20+ digital assets, SEPA instant and SWIFT transfers, a virtual Mastercard, and built-in KYC/AML compliance — most partners go live in weeks.

Developer docs

What compliance does UR handle?

UR runs KYC/AML, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring inside the platform, under its own license (see "What license does UR operate under?" above). Platforms integrate one API instead of building a compliance stack — users are verified once, against UR's framework.

How do recipients receive and use funds?

Recipients get a real UR account: funds arrive as stablecoins over onchain settlement or as fiat over SEPA instant/SWIFT, and can be held, converted at 0% off-ramp fees, spent by card, or sent to any IBAN. No separate exchange or wallet workflow is required.

How does onchain settlement help accounting and audits?

Every transaction through UR creates an immutable onchain record — instant, cryptographically verifiable proof of payment. Reconciliation and audit evidence come from one statement covering both stablecoin and fiat activity, instead of waiting on periodic statements.

What can platforms build on UR?

Accounts with IBANs inside your app, co-branded Mastercard programs, instant on/off-ramp between digital assets and fiat, and multicurrency treasury — modular, so you launch one capability or all of them.

Corporate accounts

Does UR offer corporate accounts?

Yes — UR Corporate opens soon: one corporate account to move and manage stablecoins and fiat, with a Swiss IBAN in the company's name, 7 fiat currencies, 20+ digital assets, and SEPA instant and SWIFT. It launches with operational accounts: treasury, vendor payments, and payroll.

What is KYB?

Know Your Business — the verification process for opening a corporate account. UR verifies the legal entity, its beneficial owners, its business model, and its source of funds, including onchain treasury origins.

Can a company hold stablecoins and fiat in one account?

Yes. That is what UR Corporate is: both in one account, in the company's name, moving over each side's native rails, with one statement across both.
